USAF MSGT (Ret.) Jordan Wayne Wray, April 21, 1931 - June 14, 2013 USAF MSGT (Ret.) Jordan “Joe” Wayne Wray, 82, of Las Vegas, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2013, at Nathan Adelson Hospice, surrounded by family and friends, due to complications of cardiac disease. Joe was born in McLouth, Kansas on April 21, 1931, to Albert Godfrey Wray and Mabel Gertrude Bradford. He grew up in Kansas City, Kansas but traveled the globe for 25 years with the United States Air Force as a Meteorologist during which time he met and married the love of his life, Helen Joy Wray from Australia. A master craftsman, Joe blessed those around him in his retirement with treasures he created with his beautiful woodworking skills and adored sharing his wisdom with the younger generations. Joe also adored flowers and took great pride in his beautiful gardens. Joe is survived by his daughter, Rozlyn Suzanne Au (Matthew), two adoring grandchildren, Eliana and Ethan, his sister Sandra Haar (Emil) and Brother-In-Law Donald Carter, two precious poodles, Peaches and Blu, along with countless additional family members and cherished friends. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Joy Wray (2009), three sisters, Mary White (2009), Eloise Carter (2010) and Erma Kervin (2009) and his brother, Tom Wray (2012). A celebration of Joe’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 13, at 2:00 p.m. at the Lakes Lutheran Church, 8200 W. Sahara Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89117.
