Johnnie Lee Loudermilk Jr. was born on June 3rd, 1950, in Emmitt, Arkansas to the proud parents of Johnnie Lee Loudermilk Sr. and Fannie Mae Thompson. He spent his childhood years on the farm in Emmitt, Arkansas and later moved to Los Angeles, CA. After graduating from Freemont High, he landed a job at Holiday Meat Company, where he worked as a butcher for over 40 years. He was kind hearted, caring, and an outgoing man who treated everyone with respect. Johnnie was the type of individual who was willing to put others needs and wants before his own, if it meant others would be happy. However, he did things his way. Many people thought of him as a good guy.
Johnnie enjoyed life and was a pleasure to be around, his smile and laughter gathered him friends and always caught the ladies’ eyes. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Lakers. When sitting back relaxing, he enjoyed watching Sci-fi shows and boxing matches. He loved delicious BBQ ribs, steak, catfish, shrimp, and more ribs! Johnnie had an extreme passion for fishing. He was a great fisherman, his skillset brought him excitement and notoriety, but most of all, peace and happiness.
Johnnie was known for so many things in life, things he was extremely proud of. However, none of them compared to his family.
Johnnie was proceeded in death by his father, Johnnie Lee Loudermilk Sr.; two sisters, Gwendolyn Roberts and Jara Lee Johnson; three brothers, Dennis Johnson, Charles Johnson, and Thomas Douglas Johnson all of Fort Worth, Texas.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Fannie Mae Thompson; his son, Jonathan Hampton of Seattle, WA; his three daughters, Nicole Glover of Los Angeles, CA, Lauren Loudermilk of Atlanta, GA, and Jahnee Loudermilk of Texarkana, AK; two grandsons, Xavier Hampton and Isaiah Hampton; one granddaughter, Milani Morgan; two brothers, Tom Thompson Jr. of Des Moines, Iowa and Olsie Lee Johnson of San Bernardino; Step-mother, Alice Loudermilk; and step-sister, Hazel Velez both from Los Angeles, CA, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He will missed, he will be remembered, and he will always be loved.
A Celebration of Life service for Johnnie will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM with a reception to follow both at Palm South Jones Mortuary, 1600 South Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146.
