John R. Snyder, 70, passed away on August 27, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born on February 1, 1954 at Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas to Robert L. Snyder and Patricia A. Chesson (née Fair).
John was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Joseph R. Chesson. He is survived by his wife, Susan E. Snyder; his brothers, Jerome “Jerry” P. Snyder (Lynn), Joseph “Joe” E. Snyder (Kathy), Jeffrey “Jeff” L. Snyder, and Christopher “Chris” L. Vaught; his children, Thomas E. Snyder and John Benjamin Snyder (Cinnamon); and his grandchildren, Max T. Snyder, Zak E. Snyder, Logan H. Snyder, Tyme K. Cowles, and Trinidy K. Cowles.
John served his country for 21 years in the United States Air Force. He then had an impressive 25 year career with Hughes, Raytheon, JT3, and JT4. He was a devoted family man. He was a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast and loved his Honda Goldwing. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an excellent photographer and videographer.
