Jack Schiltz, 75, of Las Vegas, NV passed away April 20, 2020. Jack was born April 12, 1945 to Arthur and Lucille (Cosgrove) Schiltz. He graduated from St. John High School in Bancroft, IA in 1963 and then enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy for four years. After discharge, Jack worked for Western Electric in Mpls., MN. In 1969 he married Patricia Dudding and they made their home in Shakopee, MN. Jack then enrolled in Dunwoody Industrial Institute and graduated in the electrical program.
After finishing his apprenticeship in 1976, Jack moved his family back to the Bancroft, IA area and started Jack's Electric. Several years after an injury, Jack worked for J H Larson Electric Supply and Farmers and Traders Savings Bank before relocating to Las Vegas. What most of us will remember is Jack's infectious laugh —the laugh that warmed everyone's heart.
Jack is survived by Patricia, his wife of 50 years; his son Greg (Mikkie) Schiltz of Bettendorf, IA and daughter Kim Schiltz, of Iowa City, IA; grandchildren Sam, Andrew, & Megan Schiltz; brothers Gary (LaVon) Schiltz, Tom (Bobbie) Schiltz, Dick (Toni) Schiltz; and sisters Mary Schiltz, Jane Killoran, Pat (Mike) Kayser, Beryl Schiltz, Carmen Schiltz; brother-in-law Bill Dudding; many nieces & nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; brother James; two infant sisters, Alice & Catherine; two Schiltz brothers-in-law, Kevin Killoran, Scott Schiltz; and Patricia's siblings Donald, Kenneth, Jack, & Dick Dudding, and Marge Williams.
