John Andrew Medina January 27, 1942 to January 22, 2014 John was born on January 27, 1942 to Vicente Medina and Lillia Romero Medina in Durango, Colorado. He died on January 22, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. John grew up in Price, Utah where he attended and graduated from Notre Dame High School. He spent 4 years in the United States Air Force and returned to Utah, attended and graduated from the Utah State University Eastern, Weber State University and the University of Utah. His working career spanned more than 50 years. He worked for three Utah Governors and had a very interesting and fun career in Utah Government. His latest assignment was that of the State Director of the Labor and Anti-Discrimination Division. He left Utah and lived in Las Vegas, Nevada and Phoenix, Arizona since 1992. He retired from Bechtel Nevada in 2005 and rehired by National Security Technologies in 2006 and retired again in 2010. John spent his retirement time traveling and visiting many interesting sites in the USA and throughout the world. John will be greatly missed by his family and community of friends. John was an extraordinary Godly man who was always very generous, humorous, and kind, always putting everyone before himself. His children were his world and he truly lived for his family. John is survived by his daughter Michelle Nolet, grandson Matthew and granddaughter Rachel, his son and daughter-in-law Tino and Yvonne Medina and his grandchildren Tiandra, Katie, Tony and Carlito John Andrew Medina and great-granddaughter Aleyah Medina. John had a lovely family and is further survived by his sisters, Cecilia (Victor) Mansanares, Evelyn (John) Montoya, Henrietta (Willie) Slaton, Pat (Dan) Schmidt, Alice Miera, and Margie Valdez, and his brother Richard Medina, as well as many countless nieces and nephews. He lived a wonderful life and enjoyed everything he did until God welcomed him home. John will be returned with his Father and Mother at the Price City Cemetery. A memorial mass will be given in his honor at Saint John Neumann Roman Catholic Church in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 8, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. The mass of Sacred Burial and final internment will be held in Price Utah in the Spring 2014.
