I remember you so well. Such a good boy. Super smart and a great artist. The world, and the family, has lost a wonderful person. You will always be by Heavenly Father's side.

Johnny Boy, you were the best little foster brother ever. You were always drawing and you put your whole heart into everything you did. I remember we had fun playing games. You were a good boy who I see grew up to be a wonderful man. I am so sad to know you are gone. Sadder still that I didn't take the opportunity to reach out and try to reconnect with you. I only learned of you being gone a few days ago.  I sobbed when viewing the video.

I'm glad I was able to meet such a beautiful soul, warm person, unforgettable and so talented. When I first saw you on myspace I was seeing your art and I was like "I like that" when I finally saw your art in your shop I was in love with it. Sometimes on my way to work I listen to your youtube videos or listen to oldies and think of you. I was so sad when I found out that you had past. I wish I knew how bad you were in your health so I could of  tried to help you somehow someway. When I last saw you at the 2019 lowrider show  I was glad that you recognize me but I saw someone much older your hair had changed, the color wasn't the same and it made me sad that time is passing by so quickly. You really don't know when someone's turn is up. I saw all the good deeds you were doing donations helping the homeless I knew you were someone with  a very kind heart and I loved that about you. I wish I had learn so much more from you like the chicanismo and all that history. Im sadden for the Castillo family my condolences  to them all, wish I was able to say my last goodbye to you, you have so many people that love you. I was lucky to have known you way back to your days of working at the bank. There wasn’t a time that I can remember that you didn’t have a smile on your face. The fantastic shirts you designed for all the different things we participated in. We by far always had the best ones. You were one of a kind Johnny, Rest In Peace.

Thank you Artisto for being so beautiful and for my Sons first T shirt in 89'   thank you Jesus for his time here with us. His life was full of love his children family and friends will go on remembering. Him as he was an amazing human here on earth. Adios amigo until we see you again!

I went to school with Johnny and he was friends with my cousin Dino Mayorga and actually air brushed one of his helmets for his union !! I reunited with him at a high school reunion and we had many conversations and I wished him well when he was in the hospital. I always checked on him. I will miss his stories and his karaoke sessions with his sons . He was such an awesome person and he will truly be missed by so many...especially me and some of my cousins flaka Garza...sending light and love to you all !! God bless 😪🙏💔

Johnny you will be tremendously missed in the Barber Shop. I'm so honored to have been able to give you your final cut on the Wednesday before you were called home. You were honestly one of the most kind hearted man. You had so much love and respect for everyone. RIP my friend.
