Joan had a fiery and determined spirit that was truly indescribable. She possessed an unwavering determination to help those around her, regardless of the outcome. Her stubbornness was matched only by the immense love that she radiated, which filled the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
In her career, Joan dedicated her life to caring for children in the foster system, with a special focus on those with special needs and chronic medical conditions in the California foster system. Her selflessness and compassion touched the lives of countless children, providing them with the love and support they desperately needed.
Outside of her work, Joan had a passion for baking. During the holidays, she would tirelessly bake pies, breads, cakes, cookies, and more for her neighbors, local churches, doctors, and anyone involved with the family. She even owned a famous Cindy's Cinnamon Rolls shop in Cheyenne, WY, where her delectable treats brought joy to the community.
Joan is survived by her brother, John Di Gregorio, her sons, Johnny Andrews and Michael Venners, her daughter, Samantha (Andrews) Bryson, and her grandchildren, Leon Andrews, Carrie Andrews, Richard Andrews, Eric Andrews, and Nathan Andrews. She also leaves behind many more great-grandchildren, as well as great-great-grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine Di Gregorio and John Di Gregorio, her husband, Leon Andrews, and her sons, Leon Andrews, David Andrews, and Jordan Hunter, as well as her daughter, Desiree Johnson.
Joan C. Andrews will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, selflessness, and determination will continue to inspire and touch the lives of those she left behind.
