Jerry Allen Wiese

Jerry Allen Wiese, born March 11, 1942, in Hendricks, Minnesota, to Fred and Nellie Wiese, passed away early Saturday morning after 75 faaan- tastic years of life. Jerry was a successful and compassionate man who left each place better than he found it. He led by example, teaching the value of hard work, good judgment, courage and integrity. He lived well, laughed often and loved much, gaining the respect of his peers and the love of family and friends. A hero to many, Jerry exemplified hard work throughout his life, loving and providing for his family. He reached people in deep and positive ways and his significance will be remembered every day. Jerry's inspiring work ethic, perseverance and determination thrust him into the entrepreneurial world resulting in a successful Pepperidge Farm business in Las Vegas. His self-discipline and commitment allowed him to create a thriving career that he loved. Jerry was respected by the community and his colleagues. Jerry also enjoyed serving in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, most recently in the temple baptistery and was beloved there as well. Jerry married Judith Marie Hirko June 8, 1963 and they proceeded to raise three children. He was heartbroken when she passed away in 2005. He soon fell in love with and married Debbie Miller, Sept. 8, 2007, happily doubling the size of his family. Around this time, he also began the process of retiring, selling his last Pepperidge Farm route in 2015, allotting him the time to discover a love for traveling. He and Debbie explored many new destinations and developed new friendships along the way. When Jerry wasn't traveling, he and Debbie enjoyed fun with their family and their beautiful dog, Angel. He lived life to the fullest in the simplest of ways. Jerry approached every situation with humor, never failing to find joy through life's hardships. The quote, "I am ready to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter," by Winston Churchill exemplifies how he might have joked, with a wink, about this next great adventure. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, of 41 years, Judith Marie Wiese. He is survived and forever missed, by his loving wife, Debbie; his beloved children, Jerry (Kris) Wiese, Kim (Jeff) Green, Steven (Katie) Wiese, Gidget (Ron) Morris, Tami (David) Bramlett and Todd White; 17 loving grandchildren; four adoring great-grandchildren; as well as five brothers; and extended family and friends. Viewing will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9 at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89146. Viewing before service will be from 10-10:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, with service following at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8801 W. Alexander Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89129. Internment will follow service at 12:30 p.m. at Palm Cemetery. Everyone who knew and loved Jerry are invited. Please come and celebrate his life with us.
