Jerry Lee Upshaw

Jerry Lee Upshaw, 77, of Las Vegas, NV passed away peacefully on August 31, 2016 with his devoted and loving wife by his side. He was born January 10, 1939 in Wyandotte, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a retired construction worker with the Carpenter Union 1977. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, sports, and tinkering. He will be forever remembered for his strength, intelligence, sincerity, smile, encouragement, support, humor, and indomitable spirit as well as his undying love for his family, friends and country. He will be forever loved, cherished and missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivy “Rex” and Melba Upshaw of Denlow, Missouri; sisters, Donna and Billy Jean; and son, Jerry Allen. Jerry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Donna Lee; daughters, Jeneva and Joyce; nieces, Margie and Cathy; 7 grandchildren, Chala, Tyrell, Dakota, Howard, Joseph, Johnathan and Angelina; 6 great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Ashley, Ethan, Taya, Dennis and Gavin Lee, and extended family throughout the country. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 9th from 10:00am to 12 noon and the funeral service beginning at 12 noon. Both will be held at Palm South Jones Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89146.
