He was born in Pontiac, Michigan on August 14, 1946. He grew up in Rochester, Michigan and graduated from Rochester High School in 1964. Jerry enlisted and served in the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska and later attended night school and graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Jerry retired from General Motors Corporation after 37 years.
He is survived by Jane, his wife of 48 years; two beloved daughters, Kristi Hendrickson and Mandy Hanlon; son-in-law, Matthew Hendrickson and two dearly loved granddaughters Noel and Ivy. He is also survived by his sister, Bonnie Foster and her husband Art of Athens, Alabama; sister-in-law, Angela Nelson and her husband Jerry of McPherson, Kansas; several nieces, nephews, extended family and many dear friends.
Jerry is predeceased by his parents, Edward and Grace Hanlon of Rochester, Michigan; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Carol Cassise of Detroit, Michigan.
A memorial will take place at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 South Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas on October 5th at 1:00 pm, followed by a “Celebration of Life” at 4:00 pm at the Orleans Hotel in the Stardust Suite at 4500 W. Tropicana, Las Vegas.
