Jerome was born in 1940, in Las Vegas New Mexico. He met his future wife Lucy when they were in Junior High. They married at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in 1961: and a few months later moved to Nevada where they started their family.
Jerome was a proud father of three children. Andrew was an electronic technician and Stella was in pharmaceuticals. Both children are now deceased. His youngest daughter Angelica works as a dental hygienist. While his children were growing up his favorite one on one time was taking them fishing. They would challenge and compete with each other on the size of fish they caught and how many, with the loser of course having to clean the fish everyone caught. When they were teenagers, he was determined that each of his children knew how to drive, change a tire and check under the hood of their car, even going so far as rebuilding car engines with them.
As his children grew up his family expanded, welcoming two granddaughters. Jessica, Stella's daughter and Alena, Andrew’s daughter. Alena made Jerome a great grandfather with 3 sons, Santino, Caleb and Isaiah. Over the years, Jerome adopted several names from the grandchildren with Gpa being the one that stuck.
His extended family consists of several nieces, nephews and cousins as well as many friends. Managing to keep in touch with all; he would make trips back to New Mexico to visit as often as possible, spending time with family and friends reminiscing and offering his help or handyman advice.
Some of his hobbies were golfing, camping and fishing but mostly he liked to find projects around the house whether big or small. Even while retired Jerome was a hard worker. He was a proud man and very devoted husband and father. He will forever be loved and missed.
