Jerry has been my step father almost all my life, and although we've only know each other a little more than 10 years (chew on that one for a while!), he was one amazing guy and always dedicated to his family and friends.  So much so that friends and family of mine seem to become family to the Mahoneys.  Quick story... We were attending a high school play that my oldest son Aaron was in.  The theater department was having a silent auction fundraiser of old play props.  Aaron had been bidding on a chair (throne) from the play "Once Upon a Mattress" that he was in, and was frustrated that somebody named St. Nick kept outbidding him.  After the auction was over, and we were standing around listening to Aaron rant about losing the bid, Jerry walks up with the chair stating "look what I won at the auction".  Aaron's jaw dropped as Jerry gave the chair to Aaron as a gift.  That's the kind of guy he was.  You'll be missed buddy!  Golfing in Vegas will never be the same. 

my big brother, and since I saw my dad drive away when I was 5, Buddy(his real name)(8 yrs older than me)was big brother, kinda dad, and hero. I signed my brother's name on my school papers. But I always made him mad. He came home with a friend one day, and said to me, I was 5, "ok you think you are so smart, spell  antidisestablishmentarianism. So I did without a hitch. ha, I was a weird kid. Mom was always working, and if he was home before me, he would hide, and after I got home he would be Frankenstein, then die, so good I would cry and cry, NO Buddy can\t be dead. I faked throwing an apple at him as he talked to some...girl...but it slipped hit him in the eye. I screamed and ran down the street. He was laughing though by the time he got to me.  I have a million stories. I wrote a song for him, he never got to hear it. It will be on my first album. Now I am all alone. When there is no one who cares about you, you have to make a reason to continue. When you have a strange brain like me, you get used to not having anyone to share what you can see. My big brother came to me for help years ago, and from that moment on we had an awesome relationship, amplified. He knew I was a strange one, but he told me I had to keep doing the work that God gave me to do. My big brother is the greatest guy who ever lived, I am very sad, very mad, and nothing is going to stop me. You HEAR ME BUDDY? I won't stop, because you're my hero and you told me. I won't let you down. Your (better looking)little brother Raymond.

Thank you for loving me for who I am and for the wonderful 53 yrs we had together. You made my life worth living and brought so much enjoyment and even those funny and crazy " unexpected " moments  into everything we did.  Rest in peace my love.

To all of my friends and family who have sent condolences, thank you so much. I know the impact my husband made in everyone around him. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. 

Ginny, so very saddened to hear of your dear Jerry's passing.  Prayers of comfort for you and all your family.

Uncle Jerry has been such a great person in my life. From teaching me how to scuba dive to going swimming in Mommom’s pool almost every day during the summer. Big golf events and awesome backyard barbecues. So many great memories. I miss you

Jerry and I graduated from Western High School the same year.  What a beautiful human being.  He loved life to the fullest.  Saw him
and his beautiful Ginny at our 55th high school reunion.  Still the same Jerry...always smiling and joking.  His laughter was contagious.  Jerry will be greatly missed.  Condolences to his family.

Jerry and I go a long ways back. He was like a brother to me. My  brother Shelly and Jerry were best friends in high school. Jerry had a infection personality. It was rare when he wasn’t laughing and telling joke. He had a zest for life and where ever he went, he was the life of the party!  Jerry will be very missed by all his family and friends. I am sure that Jerry and Shelly are busy guiding god on how to have fun in heaven.

Jerry is someone I will never forget no matter what. His humor and his love was apparent at all times. I will miss him coming up to grandmas❤️ and telling us stories. He would always tell me how big I’ve gotten and how proud he was of me. He made me feel really good about myself and about life. I’m glad to have known him and I’m very blessed  to be a part of his family. 

Uncle Jerry was an amazing person, I remember when he took me to Disneyland along with his family, not only did I have an amazing time but he always told the story of how it would have been cheaper to pay my way in the park then to feed me. He was always someone who would do anything for you. His BBQ was second to none.  ( sorry Jay )
He always seemed to be there when you needed help with anything. I do know that Uncle Jerry , Pops and Mama will be having a great reunion. 

I cant remember a time when Uncle Jerry wasn’t a part of my life. He was always there to lend a helping hand. Always the best at telling jokes. He meant the world to me and my family.  He is missed so much.  May he rest in eternal peace.

Dedication, sharing funny stories, sense of humor, infectious laughter and optimistic attitude is what I most admired in Jerry. Besides golf and scuba diving, Jerry did attempt to downhill ski. Needless to say, on his first time on the slopes, he was completely out of control, screaming at the top of his lungs and crashed. That was all it took - no more skiing for Jerry. My deepest sympathy to Ginny and the family. We were all so fortunate to have had Jerry in our lives.
