Jenny Hyun Lee was born on March 20, 1962 in South Korea to father, Won-Tae Kim and mother, Sang-Rae (Shirley) Weeks. At the age of 19, she immigrated to San Mateo, California in March 1981. She pursued her education and studied accounting at San Francisco State University and eventually, she earned her BS in Business Accounting in 1990. She had many ambitions in life and in 2001, she pursued her dream of opening her own business, Volcano Tea House. She cared for her employees and she devoted her time and energy to run a successful business. Starting the business from the ground up was one of her greatest achievements. Jenny had a strong love for God and dedicated her life to Him. In 1986, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized into the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She loved worship, fellowship, and sharing the word of God with others. One of her favorite ways to express her love for Christ was through song. She actively served and contributed to the church. She always opened her home to church members and never hesitated to help someone in need. She was always surrounded by family and love. When she first came to San Mateo, she lived with her mother, Shirley and siblings, Min Jung, Jackson, and James and spent most of her time with them, going on trips and sharing their love. She met David Lee soon after she immigrated to San Mateo and the two fell in love and got married on July 1, 1990 in Mountain View, CA. On October 18, 1991, their son, Jeffrey, was born and on July 12, 1994, their daughter, Sarah, was born. Jenny loved her children and without hesitation, she sacrificed and gave Jeffrey and Sarah a life full of love and happiness. She gave her love, not only to her husband and children, but also to her siblings and family members. Even when times were difficult, she never seized to support and care for her family and friends. She always put others first and always did everything with a loving smile. Her beautiful smile and contagious laugh will always be remembered.
