The courageous Jennifer Lynn Lowden, passed away in her home on July 20, 2016 from heart failure. Jennifer was born in Las Vegas on January 25, 1967 and was soon diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. She graduated from Chaparral High School and has a degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise in Los Angeles, CA. Jennifer spent her life working with her father, Paul Lowden. She made sandwiches at the Hacienda Hotel Pool during summers, used her creative skills to develop fashion merchandising for the Sahara Hotel, and was the Director of Catering and Banquets at the Santa Fe Hotel and Casino. In recent years, Jennifer was her father’s executive assistant. Jennifer had a renowned love for dogs. She considered her dozens of rescues part of her family. Jenn would say they were her children. Jennifer’s kindness, generosity, and compassion extended to her friends and family along with her animals. She will always be remembered for humanity. Jennifer’s challenging diabetic life was extended when her cousin Lynn Bernstein donated an almost perfect match kidney to her in 1993. Lynn was truly Jennifer’s Guardian Angel. The Lowden Family will forever be grateful to Cousin Lynn for her ‘gift of life’. Jennifer will be laid to rest next to her brother, Will, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her father, Paul Wayne Lowden III; her step-mother, Sue and her mother, Adrienne Bono. Jenn is also survived by two loving brothers, Christopher and Paul IV. Jennifer was a devoted auntie who had cousins, aunts, uncles and so many friends who surrounded her with love and support throughout her life. A Memorial Service for Jennifer will be held at 10 o’clock in the morning, Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89123. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Las Vegas Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or any one of the many animal rescue foundations.
