Jenn was born in Minnesota to her parents Terry and Suzanne Berg. She had many siblings/nieces and nephews; And loved every single on of them. She was reared in Hawaii for the majority of her childhood. In high school she discovered a truly passionate love of theatre. This carried her through her teenage years until she set her sights on USC in LA where she lived many years advancing in her college studies and then personal pursuits of Stage Management.
But life changes got her settled in Las Vegas where she spent 19 years helping run the Performing Arts Center at Summerlin Library. There, she provided so many performers a safe and fun stage to put on extravagant theatre shows for the Las Vegas public. She even helped start a teen summer theatre group where she helped local high school students discover and expand on their love of acting and stage work. Throughout all of these endeavors, she shined as a dominating presence of loving support for so many people. In 2001, she received the best gift possible for her acts, her child Devyn. The one true source of love and purpose in her life. That love carried her through to the very end.
In early 2006, she took pity on one co-worker at Summerlin and decided to start dating him. Building on this relationship, she ended up marrying that co-worker, and that co-worker was me. And because of that, I get to say that I am the luckiest man on the planet to have had Jenn in my life for as long as I did. To summarize, Jenn was a kind, respectful and absolutely loving soul to so many friends, family, co-workers and really anyone and everyone she came across.
Sadly, the brightest stars burn out too quickly. Around 2008, Jenn started a horrible and tragic battle with so many illnesses. SLE, MS and Diabetes just for starters. She had to undergo many medical operations and infusions over the years until 2023. On January 4th of this year, she finished up yet another infusion and went to sleep thereafter. And it was at that time, after such a long time of fighting, that she decided to stay asleep.
She leaves behind a wonderful family or fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends so close they basically are family, one amazing child and one heart-broken husband. But I know that regardless, all she ever wanted and still would want, is for all of them, and all of you, to enjoy the most of this life. Because that's all we will ever have to enjoy on this Earth, until we all meet again. <3.
