If anyone ever cared, really cared for someone else it would have to be Jeffrey Scott Womack. He was a warm hearted and well liked individual, and these wonderful traits came easily to him because he was such a sociable and amiable person, someone who was always making certain that those around him had whatever they needed.
He was the son of Charles and Gloria Womack. Jeffrey was born in Telluride, Colorado and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was raised with one sibling. He had one older sister, Julie Gomez. Jeffrey and his sister were close and cared deeply for one another. During his childhood he learned to be reliable and respectful. He found it easy to show sympathy and to perform kind acts for others. These admirable qualities would become a part of Jeffrey's personality throughout his life.
As someone who reveled in the sheer joy of his experiences, Jeffrey was always enthusiastic about new adventures. Although he had an exacting nature, Jeffrey was always tactful. One thing Jeffrey will certainly be remembered for is that, when he got up in the mornings, he was ready and raring to go. As a young boy, Jeffrey had a number of interests and was an active child. Jeffrey took part in wrestling and football. He was a boy scout.
For Jeffrey, the school routines were never a problem although he generally preferred variety to structure. He graduated from Western High School in 1979. He enjoyed some courses more than others. His favorite classes in high school were shop, woodwork, and physical education. What Jeffries classmates will remember him for the most is that he was a All State Defensive Lineman.
There was one thing that all of Jeffrey's friends knew and will still remember, and that is that he was dependable, loyal, trustworthy, and accepting of others. When Jeffrey made friends, he made true and lasting friendships. While growing up, some of his best friends were Eddie McSwayne, Stan Grims, and Mr. Tatoo. Later in life, he became friends with Jimmy Sharp, Jeff Frainer, and Kevin Houston.
Jeffrey was a compassionate and devoted father. Jeffrey was blessed with three children, one son, Colby Womack, and two daughters, Kylie Womack, and Kelsie Womack. Jeffrey was always conscious of his children's feelings and tried to be always be there for them. He was reasonable and understanding. His secret of success in this area was simple: Jeffrey would listen before he would act.
Taking his work seriously came naturally to Jeffrey. He was a leader and his peers looked up to him. His primary occupation was as a Heavy Equipment Operater. He was employed with Frainer Construction, Steal Engineers, and for sixteen years with Las Vegas Paving. He brought harmony to his work environment, doing what was necessary in order to get the job done, while always maintaining respect for his colleagues.
A methodical man, Jeffrey enjoyed spending time on his various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were welding, 4 wheeling, and fishing. Jeffrey was also a sports fan and enjoyed watching football and car racing.
Not only did Jeffrey enjoy traveling, but he also seemed to enjoy planning all of those trips and vacations. Favorite vacations included Fishlake in Utah and Alaska.
Jeffrey was a lover of animals and cherished his pets. One of his favorites was Lady, a Labrador dog. They were best friend for ten years. His family was rounded out by his rabbits, turtles, snakes, and turantullas.
Jeffrey passed away on June 5, 2018 in the comfort of his home in Parhump, Nevada. He is survived by his father and mother, Charles and Gloria Womack, his children, Colby, Kylie, and Kelsie Womack, sister, Julie Gomez, and wife, Nancy Womack. Services were held at Palm Northwest Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jeffrey was a down to earth person, outgoing and gregarious. He was without question the type of person who enjoyed experiencing things first hand. He was practical and sensible, but what friends and family will remember him for most is the fact that he was so understanding and kind. Everyone whose life he touched will miss Jeffrey Scott Womack.
