Jan was born on May 8, 1938 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Elmer and Marie Delcoure. She was the oldest of 9 children. In 1952, she moved with her family to Southern California. Jan had many interests: She was an artist, she modeled, acted in a movie, earned her real estate license, and went to school to become a travel agent. Most importantly, she retired from aerospace, where she worked for 35 years as an electrical engineer. In 1996, Jan moved to Henderson, Nevada. For many years, she worked the Clark County election polls. She also volunteered for the MDA telethon every Labor Day.
Jan was full of life and made friends wherever she went. The most important thing to her, however, was family. Whether it was attending her granddaughter’s fieldtrips, going out to breakfast, watching movies, going on weekly outings with her daughter, or talking and laughing with her sisters for hours on the phone, Jan treasured the time she spent with her family. She loved each and every one of them with her whole heart!
Jan will be forever cherished and remembered by her daughter, Kenna; granddaughters, Nicholle, Alexis, Carrera, and Savannah; sisters, Jeanne (Darrell), Darlene (James), and Patricia (David); brother, Richard; sister-in-law, Carol (William); ex-husband, Kenneth; and many, many nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Marie; husband, Bill; brothers, John (Beverly), William, and Thomas; sister, Diane; nephew, John; niece, Linda; and great nephew, Bradly.
There will be a service and luncheon to be announced at a later date.
