Janet Marie Franklin was born on July 15, 1960 in Los Angeles CA to the late Mildred and John Franklin. She was the second of three siblings. Her parents, John and Mildred, sister Phyllis, brother Danny and daughter Latoya preceded her in death.
Janet accepted The Lord as her Shepard at a young age. She continued her faith in God and studied his word daily even until her last breath.
She was born in Watts and raised in Compton, CA. She later lived in Lynwood and San Gabriel CA, where she met so many along the way.
She graduated from Phineas Banning High School in 1978. She later attended Academy Pacific Business and Travel College in Hollywood, CA in 1991. Soon after she worked for Bank of America in Pasadena, CA for a span of 15 years. She gave birth to three children, two daughters Myisha and Latoya and one son Marcus.
For everything there is a Season, those who knew Janet, understands that she cared deeply for others. She loved gardening, reading, crocheting, yardwork and doing puzzles. She was a friend and an advisor to all who came to know her, always providing help and encouragement as needed. She had a mouth that most didn’t want to listen to, but many would say in hindsight her conversations made sense. Most didn’t understand her way of language, but all loved the fact that she was teaching along the way and stayed true to herself.
She leaves to cherish her memories, One Daughter, Myisha Tarver, One Son, Marcus Tarver, One unforgettable Daughter-in-Law Melody Tarver, Two Granddaughters, Anaya and Tonay, Six Grandsons, De’Mauria, Kalan, Jailyn, Kaden, Tony, and Darius, One Niece Tamika Conley, One Nephew Eric Conley and a host of relatives and friends.
