Jane Mary Hafner

Jane Mary Hafner (nee Holzworth), age 85, of Henderson, Nevada passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 14, 2024. She was born on August 8, 1938, in Chicago, Illinois to Alva “Tokey” and Kay (nee Farrall) Holzworth. Janes parents moved to Des Moines, Iowa with Jane and her two brothers, Paul, and Phil where she spent her early life through High School. She graduated from Creighton University College of Nursing with her BSN.

She was predeceased by her husband Bron D. Hafner in 2015.

Jane leaves behind and will be missed by her brother, Dr. Paul Holzworth, of Des Moines, Iowa, her brother in law Craig Hafner (Pat), Boulder, CO, her children Michelle Wisner, of Henderson, NV.: Sean Wisner (Mary) of Irvine, CA.: Kyle Wisner (Ryoko) of Bartlesville, OK., as well as her stepchildren with Bron D. Hafner, Bron Hafner Jr. (Betsy) of San Rafael, CA.: Mark Hafner (Mary) of Westlake Village, CA.: and Karen Dansker (David) of Northridge, CA. She is survived by grandchildren Naomi (Grant), Liam, Dylan, Skylar, Katherine, Cristine, Aaron, Jason, and Josh, along with her nephews Michael Holzworth (Kathy), Stephen Holzworth, Kevin Holzworth (Carla), Tim (Tina) and niece Wendell (Tim).

A registered nurse and head of pediatric nursing at Stanford in her early career, she became a successful entrepreneur and business owner in the medical insurance business. She was a talented lifelong tennis player and led an active life of fun and travel with her husband Bron D. Hafner. They loved to travel with friends and family, making new friends everywhere they went, and keeping up with cherished friends and family on the way to their adventures.

She remained strong, feisty, and faithful to her Catholic religion till the end with her rosary in her hands.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice. Jane and Bron were both afflicted with cancer, Jane with colon and breast, Bron with kidney cancer and a heart condition. So, any cancer or heart charity would be appreciated.
