As a child, Jameson loved spending time on his grandparents' farm in Kentucky. In 1989 the family moved to Las Vegas, NV.
Jameson attended Green Valley High School, and graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2002 with a degree in Criminal Justice.
In February of 2004, Jameson began his career with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Jameson served his community as an Officer in the Southeast and Bolden Area Command, then as Field Training Officer in Southeast Area Command. He promoted to Narcotics Detective in 2012, and served as Major Violators Detective, Task Force Officer with FBI Safe Streets Gang Task Force, and Task Force Officer with DEA Southern Nevada Drug Task Force until his untimely death.
Jameson not only had a passion for his Law Enforcement career as a Narcotics Detective, but enjoyed playing hockey, dirt bike racing, and building a mustang race car. He was also a skilled craftsman, and a pit master on the BBQ, most importantly, he was a dedicated family man, and loved spending time with family and friends.
In April of 2015, Jameson married the love of his life, Ivis, and were blessed with their precious daughter, Gianna.
Those who knew Jameson will remember his charismatic personality and his sense of humor (funny pranks). He will be greatly missed, by the many lives he touched.
Jameson is survived by his wife Ivis, his daughter Gianna, his stepson Khristian, his parents Marlana and James, and his dogs Coco and Max. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Rosa Guillen de Ortega, his brother-in-law Joel Ortega, and brother-in-law Manfredo Ortega.
A visitation for Jameson will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Palm Eastern Mortuary, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A visitation will occur Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 9:00 AM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123. A funeral service will occur Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 10:00 AM, 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
