James Anthony Weber Jr, 80, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on December 9, 2023. He was born on July 8, 1943, in Chicago, IL, to the late James A and Elmyra Weber. James served in the US Marine Corps and was proud of his military associations. The US Marines Corp recognized James for his honorable service with a Purple Heart, specifically for his heroic action, where he pulled another solider to safety despite being wounded himself. After his service, he dedicated himself to a career as a police officer, Fireman and Fire Inspector.
James is survived by his loving wife, Rosa Weber, his daughter Sherry Castillo, his son Jimmy Weber (Patrice), grandchildren Monique, Marissa, Alex, James, Angelina, Talia and Alina, his sister Maureen Staniak, his brother Tom Weber (Becky), and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Melinda and his sister Carol.
In his free time, James enjoyed being a Green Bay Packer shareholder, showing his unwavering support for the team. James also supported The Wounded Warriors, an organization close to James's heart. He was also an active member of the Catholic Church, finding solace and community in his place of worship.
A ceremony to honor James will be held at Palm Northwest Mortuary 6701 N Jones Blvd in Las Vegas, NV, 89131. A viewing will be held on Wednesday 12/20/2023 at 12 PM with services at 2 PM with Military honors, luncheon to follow after the service at Rosa's house.
James Anthony Weber will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
