James Louis Thomas

James Louis Thomas was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, James will be remembered as a very exceptional, hard working person. James was born on September 21, 1971 to Carol and Gene Thomas. He was raised in Queens, New York with his six siblings, Michelle, Doug, Mark, Latisha, Tammy, and Tony.

James worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. James was blessed with three children, Brittney, Andre, and Destiny. Another blessing for James was the gift of two grandchildren, Liam Leonidas and Kinsley Faith.

Always considered a good friend to those he knew, James enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during his lifetime. Throughout his life, his best friends were Shawn, Luther, Andre and his older brother, Doug and his significant other, Araceli Modina.

Fortunately, James enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, James worked diligently and did his best to succeed in his career in Asset Protection. He was a very hard working man who worked tirelessly to provide for his youngest daughter. When he wasn’t working, James loved to spend his time relaxing with a beer and watching sports.

James passed away on July 24, 2020 at St. Rose - Siena Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his mother: Carol Thomas. He is survived by his children, Brittney, Andre, and Destiny Thomas; grandchildren, Liam Leonidas Thomas and Kinsley Faith Thomas; his father, Gene Thomas and his six loving siblings. Services were held at Palm Southwest Mortuary in Las Vegas.

Simply stated, James was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. James leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember James Louis Thomas.
