She was born February 4, 1954 in Plaine-de-L’Arbre, Haiti to Cedilien and Silvia Metayer. She
shared those parents with six siblings. She found her first love at the age of 21, when she
married Wilfred Dalien of Anse-Rouge, Haiti, whom she shared three children with, but had later
on divorced in 1983 at the age of 28.
Jacqueline was born into 7th day adventist and followed the guidance of god for the rest of her
life. While in Haiti she dedicated her time to serving god. In her free time she indulged in church
activities of J.A , Jeunesse Adventist, which often included programs, concerts, camping, and
journeys. Besides her commitment to God, she also devoted her life to providing a better life for
her children. Many will remember her as a strong mother , loving, fierce, and overall
unforgettable. She was a skilled seamstress, shopkeeper, and gardener. While in Haiti to
provide for her children she applied her skills to pave the life that her children and grandchildren
currently hold today.
On November 1, 2007 at the age of 53 she had moved from Haiti to Las Vegas being reunited
with three of her children. Where she got to meet her first grandchild and shortly after another.
Here in Las Vegas she finally got to rest from a hard working life to a rewarding retirement with
her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, going to the park, church, and
spending time with her family. She gave her full attention to her grandchildren and was
surrounded by a large blended family with love and laughter.
Jacqueline will be remembered for many things by many people. She had a gorgeous smile,
beautiful big eyes that weren't scared to side eye you, a memorable commanding voice that will
be missed. A woman full of life with countless funny and exciting stories that will be shared till
the end of time.
She is survived by her three daughters, Wilda Dalien, Jeanide Dalien, and Daphnie Metayer, a
son, Abdony Dalien, as well as several grandchildren, Ashenie Noralus, Kendra Noralus, Kenlee
Noralus, Nikenson Marc, Mikayala Marc, Jefferson Dalien, and Michael Cardoza, who all gave
her headaches, as well as the happiest moments in her life.
The viewing will be held at 12:00 pm and the funeral service will begin at 1:00pm October 24,
2022 at Paradise Church. Burial will be held at 3:00 pm at Palm Mortuary Eastern Cemetery.
The wake will be following after the burial service at the Paradise Church.
