Jack Weinstein

Jack was born February 17, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to parents Joseph and Pauline (Sosnick) Weinstein. He had 5 siblings - Fred, Harry, Hyman, Louis and Sylvia - all of whom are deceased. Jack attended Cass Technical High School in Detroit Michigan.

He is survived by his wife Nancy (Steinweg) Weinstein, his children Leonard, Daniel, Mary, Sean, Joseph and Pauline and grandchildren Hillary, Charles, Zachary, with one on the way.

Jack moved to Las Vegas in 1964 and was the president and owner of Tower of Jewels, a Las Vegas manufacturing jewelry store. At its height, the store had upwards of 12 locations. He was a pioneer in the field, manufacturing and selling his own designs. Aside from his family, work was his greatest passion and he happily worked six days a week until the age of 90. His sons Joey and Sean continue to run the business today.

He counted Senator Harry Reid, Larry Ruvo, Siegfried and Roy, Sandy and Roger Peltyn, Claudine Williams, Judge William Jensen and New York jeweler Jeffery Stern amongst his close friends of note, as well as many other cherished long time friends across the valley and around the world.

Jack was a dynamic man, a business maverick, and an empathetic mentor to many. He was passionate about helping others, donating generously to charitable organizations over the course of his 56 years in Southern Nevada.

Jack received many awards for his philanthropic efforts including:

YMCA Y-Not Nite Man of the Year

Grand Sovereign Dynastic Hospitaller Order of Saint John - Knights of Malta - Knight of Grace

Señoras of Excellence, Señors of Distinction - Humanitarian Award (2014)

A private family service will be held at King David Memorial Chapel on January 21st, 2021 with an online streaming service for friends of the family. The service is not open to the public and there will be no visitation in light Covid restrictions.
