Jack was born in Brooklyn, New York. He moved to California to attend the University of Southern California in the 70’s, earning a degree in Mathematics. He was a proud Trojan, who always wore his USC sportswear around the town.
After graduating he exercised his entrepreneurial spirit running several businesses, but he spent most of his professional life working as a Math and English teacher. He tutored many international nurses for their US credential exams and spent several years teaching in China.
Jack was a professional gambler in Vegas and an award-winning poker champion.
He loved sports, good food, socializing, and going to movies with friends and family. He had a great sense of humor and will always be remembered for making people laugh.
He is survived by his daughters - Melissa, Jacqueline, Alexandria, step-son Mark, and grandchildren Bella, Luna, Rio and his sister Karen.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Heart Foundation.
