Detective Jack Chapman

Detective John W. "Jack" Chapman, 78, of Las Vegas, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011. He was born November 29, 1932, in Warsaw, Missouri, and was a resident of Nevada since 1966. Jack served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from LVMPD in 1988 as a detective. Jack was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and a private pilot. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Chapman and daughter, Tiffany Chapman, both of Las Vegas; and cousins, Don (Maudie) Higgins and Buck (Mary) Chapman, all of Missouri. There will be a gathering 2:00pm - 4:00pm on Monday, June 13, with Memorial Service following, both at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 5317 Smoke Ranch Road.
