It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that Ian has passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. It’s hard to put into words what we are feeling. We are absolutely devastated. But have comfort knowing he is not in pain.
As many of you know, around two years ago, Ian was diagnosed with uveal melanoma, which eventually spread to his liver. Despite the challenges, he faced it with incredible strength and resilience, even experiencing some hope during a clinical trial that showed great signs of progress. However, in July, we received the devastating news that the cancer had unexpectedly spread to his brain, and his condition rapidly declined. We did everything in our power to try to find a way to treat this, but in the end we wanted to prioritize his comfort over anything.
Ian spent his final days surrounded by those who loved him deeply at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas. We are comforted knowing he was at peace and surrounded by family until the very end.
Ian was truly one of a kind. He had an insane ability to make people laugh. I can’t even explain it. If you knew him, you loved him. He is so special and loved.
He was an amazing husband to Melody and the absolute best dad to 7 crazy kids. None of us would be where we are now without him.
Thank you for your love, support, and understanding during this time. A service will be held on August 25th at 10am at Woodlawn Cemetery (1500 N Las Vegas Blvd Las Vegas, NV 89101. Enter on Foremaster Lane.).
