Howard Eugene Schavey passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 8, 2012 at the age of 73. He was born May 28, 1939 in Michigan City, Indiana to parents Elmer and Mary (Still) Schavey and had been a Nevada resident for 37 years. Howard was an Administrator in Private Education and had served in the United States Navy as a young man. He was a huge Raiders fan and he loved life. He is survived by his son, John H. Schavey; daughter-in-law, Desiree Schavey; and their children, Alicia Marie and Jonathan Daniel Schavey; daughter, Lisa Schavey; and her children, Chase Ramos, Nicole Ramos and Daniel Ramos, all in Anaheim, California; and one brother, Michael R. Dramis, in Las Vegas. Graveside Service is scheduled at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery for Monday, October 1, 2012 at 12:40pm. Reverend Leo Wood will officiate. Arrangements under the direction of Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada.
