Herbert Karl Gordon, 67, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away from cancer and other health related complications on Friday, January 24, 2020. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Herbert immigrated to the United States as a youngster and was raised in Queens, New York. He graduated from Morgan State University, in Baltimore, Maryland, and became a Certified Public Accountant.
He is survived by his children. Alexandria Kara Gordon, Esq., Stacey Gordon Addy, her husband, David Addy, and his son, Mikhail Gordon, and loved one Tarah Dunn.
In addition, he leaves to mourn his mother, Mirianne Gordon, his siblings Harris Gordon, Phillip Gordon Jr., Elizabeth Mondesir, Myriam Lafontant , and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loved ones.
Herbert was predeceased by his father, Phillip James Gordon Sr. and sister, Gladys Gordon.
Anyone who knew Herb would agree that he was a fun person to be around, well known for his engaging laughter, and was always the “life of the party.“
In recent years, Herb relocated to Las Vegas, a city that he loved, and where he met his love, Tina Hunt.
A celebration service of Herb’s life will take place on February 3, 2020 at the Palm Downtown Mortuary, in Las Vegas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The Prostate Cancer Foundation.
