Born in Surigao del Norte, Philippines on February 20, 1948, Henrietta was the loving daughter of Mr. Mauro Briones and Mrs. Concheta Briones. She attended the Philippine College of Commerce and Business and graduated with an A.S. in Secretarial Science. Henrietta was employed at the MGM Grand and worked in Management for 18 years until she retired.
Henrietta was a member of the St. Viator Catholic Church. She was constantly helping the homeless and less fortunate. She donated to numerous charities, such as the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the ASPCA Animal Charity and several different military charities as well. Henrietta will be remembered for her humongous heart full of selfless love that forever wanted to provide comfort and care to all.
Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents and husband Louis Matthews.
She is survived by her son Robert Matthews and his wife Nicolette Matthews, and her favorite boxer Bam Bam.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 12:00pm at Palm Eastern Mortuary and Cemetery, 7600 S. Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
