Helen Marie Garcia (Moreno), of Las Vegas, passed away Nov. 27, 2014. She fought a yearlong battle with cancer with admirable strength, grace, and dignity. Helen was born Aug. 24, 1945 in Stockton, California to Genevieve and Martin Moreno and was surrounded with the love of her 15 brothers and sisters. Helen is survived by her two sons, John Anthony Solario and Benjamin A. Garcia, and her daughter, Roxanne Solario. She is also survived by her 4 cherished grandchildren; brother Andrew Moreno and nieces Suzanne LeBlue and Monica Moreno of Las Vegas; and too many loving brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and dear friends to count. Helen was a resident of Las Vegas for over 40 years. She worked 15 years for the Clark County School District and for 25 years as a member of the Culinary Union. Helen enjoyed life to its fullest and made the most of out of each and every day. Her life will be celebrated by a gathering of family and friends.
