August 11, 1958 – February 7, 2018
Greg Bedotto died on February 7, 2018, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 59 years old. Born in Allentown, Penn., Greg was raised in Las Vegas and graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic School and Eldorado High School. Greg had a lifelong love of cars, meticulously caring for them inside and out. That love led to his career at Silver State Disposal (Republic Services) where, for 37 years, he inspected and serviced the garbage trucks to ensure their safety on the road. He was a member of Teamsters Local 631. Greg loved the band “The Cars” and all things Star Trek. In his youth, Greg entertained friends and family with his family room magic shows, and was an amateur photographer, working both behind the camera and in his dark room. For all those who showed Greg kindness and the opportunity to succeed, especially Richard and Linda Isola, we sincerely thank you.
Greg is survived by his mother, Esther Bedotto; his brother, John and wife, Sally; his sisters Lisa Laughlin and Leslie Rocha, and their husbands Colby and James; and six nieces and nephews.
Greg is united in death with his beloved father, Remo Bedotto, Jr., M.D. and his grandparents.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2300 Sunridge Heights Pkwy, Henderson, NV 89052.
We will miss you, Greg. “Live long and prosper” in the heavenly realm.
