Sir Knight Gonzalo Chaco Reyes, KSS, was born on Guam on February 27,1925. He was called to eternal rest on June 1, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Gonzalo lived a long and fulfilling life. In his younger days, he drove and protected Governors of Guam and prestigious clergy members. He was a man of God and a devout Catholic. Gonzalo had a personal and intense devotion to Santa Marian Kamalen. The duty he took the most pride in was opening the chapel at 4:30am for the daily 5:45am mass. As a testament to his strong faith, Gonzalo attended every village procession religiously. He survived the Fena Cave Massacre and the war. Typical of his personality, he also had a hand in the survival of others at Fena Cave. Gonzalo was a proud family man. He is now reunited with his two grandsons, Michael Matthew Reyes Mendiola and Bryan Scott Reyes Badua. He will be loved always and never forgotten. His lessons will continue to influence his loved ones for generations. His memory will live on through his wife, Cecilia, children and their spouses, Bernadette and Thomas, Norene and Adrian, and Randolph. His stories will be handed down by his grandchildren, Sean, Keone and Amalia, Philip and Shannon, Adrienne, Maria Camarin, Natasha, Thomas Drake, Clifton, and Summer. He will be missed by his great-grand children, Tasi, Mya, Tano, and Charlie Paige. Arrangements under the direction of Palm Eastern Mortuary, Las Vegas, NV.
