Gloria Jean Rountree was born on April 5, 1943 as the youngest daughter to the late Arlanda and Esther Carr in Vallejo, California and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1961, she married her high school sweetheart Billy Rountree and from their union, she was blessed to give birth to four kids. Gloria Jean was known by friends and family as “Ms. Hollywood” because of her flair for life and the “Bling, Bling” Jewelry that she loved to wear and creative ideas for Interior Design. For over 50 years, Gloria Jean worked as a Phlebotomist and was a positive impact in the lives of her co-workers and patients. On September 23, 2018, she passed at the Nathan Adelson Hospice from Lung Cancer. Gloria Jean is survived by her four children, Billy Rountree, Jr., Erika Jean Rountree, Tony Rountree, and Helga Rountree; Her sister, JoAnn Jones; Her grandchildren Monique Gonzalez, Tony Rountree, Jr., Lexus Yassin, and Brittany Rountree; her great-grandchild, Tony Rountree; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. A Memorial Celebration will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Palm Southwest Mortuary, 7979 W. Warm Springs Rd.
