Gloria C. Garza, 65, of Las Vegas, passed away Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011. She was born in San Benito, Texas. Gloria recently retired after teaching for 32 years. Gloria was a loving mother, wife, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her father, Pedro Covarrubias; and brother, Carlos Covarrubias. Gloria is survived by her mother, Elvia Covarrubias; husband, Edelmiro; children, Norma Lomeli (Pedro) Cynthia, Capps, Eddie Garza (Julie), and Brenda Garza; two sisters, Oralia Munoz and Mary Helen Beltran; two brothers, Cesar Cuellar and Lazaro Cuellar; as well as seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visitation and viewing will be 10-11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, with services following, both at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
