My Father whispered softly that He wanted to bring me home
For my earthly journey was over and on this land I no longer needed to roam
My heart and soul are at rest, no heaviness do I feel
Because my Father holds me in His hand and my destiny is sealed
Many a loved one I know my memory will be left to grieve
But it’s only for a moment for the comfort of heaven I now will receive
And though the span of time may differ, I know we shall meet again
Since eternity holds our spirits and souls together, forever we will reign
May the tears for me be that of joy and your expression bare a smile
For my Father decided to call for me, He called home His child
So, my dear family and friends please do not fret for me
Just rest assured that in the comfort of God’s goodness and grace I’ll forever be
