Georgette "Lisby" Franklin, 74, of Las Vegas, went home to be with Lord March 24, 2010. She was born May 10, 1935, in Tallulah, La., to Lee Henry Lisby and Willie Ann (Claxton) Lisby, moving to Las Vegas in 1942. Georgette graduated from Las Vegas High School and retired in management from the United States Postal Service. She was a licensed missionary and she served faithfully for many years in various capacities at Pentecostal Temple, COGIC. She was a loving mother and friend, enjoyed cooking and serving her family. She had a special talent in arranging flowers, decorating and fashion. She is best known for her gentleness, kindness and caring. Georgette was preceded in death by her father; mother; and two siblings. She is survived by two brothers; four sisters; three children, Donald Campbell, Darla (Michael) Wilson and Stephan (Carolyn) Franklin; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation will be noon-7 p.m. Friday, April 2, at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 3, at Pentacostal Temple, 1117 N. F St., Las Vegas, NV 89106. Interment to follow at Palm Memorial Park.
