George Harold Humphrey

Mr. George Harold Humphrey of 2247 Crown Valley Lane, N. Las Vegas, NV passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas, NV after a brief illness. The son of the late George Mack and Lurene Humphrey was born on August 13, 1941. He was the husband of Dorothy Greene Humphrey. Mr. Humphrey was a member of the 1960 graduating class of Carver High School. He retired from the US Air Force after 20 years of service as Master Sergeant. In addition, Mr. Humphrey was retired from the US Postal Service after 25 years of service. He was a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina and a member of the Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. He was an avid Oakland Raiders fan. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Greene Humphrey, two daughters, Hope Williams of Las Vegas, NV and Nicole Humphrey Rice of Inman, SC. One son, Mr. George H. Humphrey II of Spartanburg, SC. Two sisters, Mrs. Phyllis H. Hosley of Moore, SC and Ms. Deborah Dimgba of Spartanburg, SC. Seven grandchildren, Orlando Williams, George M. Humphrey, Simone Rice, Amia Parker, Kobe Parker, Imar Parker, and Gavyn Humphrey. Three sister-in-laws, four brother-in-laws, and a host of relatives and friends. Mr. Humphrey was preceded in death by a brother, Mr. Lonnie Humphrey.

Visitation Tuesday Feb 10, 2015 , 5pm - 7pm at Palm Mortuary-Downtown. Burial at Lincoln Memorial Gardens, Spartanburg, SC
