George Peter Agnos

George was born on April 4th, 1964 to Peter George Agnos and Eugenia Agnos (Pappakis) in Chalkida, on the island of Evia, Greece. The youngest of 3 siblings, his family emigrated from Greece to the United States in the 60s and settled in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area.

Always the entrepreneur, he worked very hard to from a young age in a variety of businesses to support his family. George always had a witty comment, a funny joke, or a comeback that made the room cry with laughter. He would drop everything to help family and friends. Like all Greeks, George loved to host and prepare expansive meals for everyone. Later in life he worked to perfect his passion for French cuisine and his pizza recipe.

George is survived by his three children with devoted wife of 37 years Margaret “Maggie” Agnos (Kreitzer): Peter Agnos (wife Sarah Agnos), Gina Buchawiecki (husband Kurt Buchawiecki), Marianna Agnos; and four grandchildren Jonathan Buchawiecki (12), Juliet Agnos (10), Marguerite Agnos (6), George Agnos (4).

George is also survived by his brother Dino Agnos, and sister Anna Dovinos (husband Yianni Dovinos), his father & mother Peter George Agnos and Eugenia Agnos (Pappakis), dozens of cousins, inlaws, countless extended family and friends.

George is preceded in death by his sister-in-law Karen Agnos, his mother-in-law Mary Kreitzer (Gebhard) and father-in-law Arthur Kreitzer, many beloved aunts and uncles, and his best little pal Leonidas 🐾.

George’s funeral service will be at 10:00am on Friday, July 14th 2023 at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 5300 South El Camino Road Las Vegas, NV 89118. Burial to follow at Palm Eastern Mortuary & Cemetery – Garden of Comfort (819), 7600 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123.
