Geneva (Genny) Beasley passed away on July 20, 2023, at the age of 88. She was born on July 26, 1934, in Pocatello, ID to Robert D. and Ramona Henderson. Geneva attended Idaho State University where she met her future husband, Bob Beasley. After their wedding, Geneva moved with Bob to Arizona where he served in the Army. After two years in Illinois for Bob’s graduate studies and a few years in Indio, California, the couple settled in Albuquerque. Geneva, Bob and their three children relocated to Las Vegas in 1970. In 1976, Geneva resumed her career in education and taught typing at Garside Junior High. She completed her master’s degree in Secondary Counseling in 1983. She moved from the classroom into the counselor’s office at Garside and then to Clark High School. After retiring in 1995, Geneva had time to pursue her many interests. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, PEO (Chapter Y), and Assistance League (Operation School Bell). A life-long music lover (playing piano and drums in her younger days), Geneva enjoyed attending performances of the Las Vegas Philharmonic, Faith Lutheran Theater productions and other concerts around Las Vegas. Geneva and Bob travelled extensively during retirement, visiting Europe several times. Sun Valley and Maui were also favorite vacation spots. A supportive and very loving spouse and mother, Geneva was also a standout Grandma. She happily attended countless music and dance recitals, band concerts, and ball games knowing it was a blessing to have all six grandchildren living nearby. Geneva was preceded in death by Bob, her husband of 64 years, her parents, and her siblings. She is survived by her children Doug (Larisa), Richard (Elvia) and Cathy Morgan (Mike), six grandchildren (Robert (Katie)), Kristin, Samantha, Jacob, Sarah Morgan, and Alex Morgan), and great-grandson Andy. The family would like to thank the staff at Aegis Living and Brighton Hospice for their wonderful care and attention. A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 11:00AM.
