

Gaby Hababou Beyer November 4, 1923 - July 13, 2015 Gaby Hababou Beyer passed away after a courageous battle with thyroid cancer on July 13, 2015 at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, NV. Gaby was born November 4, 1923 in Sfax, Tunisia to her mother Leonie Hababou, deceased. As a young girl, Gaby and her mother moved to Paris, France where as Jews, they braved the Nazi occupation. Her mother passed away and Gaby escaped Nazi occupied France to the United States where she met her future husband Dr. Robert Franklin Beyer, a WWII US Navy Officer. Gaby and Robert were married and had three sons; Steve Alan, Dr. Todd Lee, and Dr. Craig Franklin Beyer. Gaby worked as a bookkeeper, a bilingual secretary and a French tutor in Chicago, Illinois and St. Louis, Missouri. She is survived by her three sons; Steve and his wife Kathleen, Todd (Alexandra), and Craig (Larysa). Gaby was a cherished grandmother to Andrew, Elly, Corinne, Heather (Tom), Preston, and Robert (Sandy). She has great grandchildren; Ace, Dax, Matthew and Savannah. Gaby was a strong woman who loved her sons and grandchildren with all of her heart. She prayed for all mankind and her sincerest wish was for the Dove of Peace to deliver an olive branch to the war torn nations of the world. A private memorial and burial will be held by her family on July 19 at King David Cemetery. In lieu of flowers her family requests that donations be made to Temple Ner Tamid to be used for their chosen charities.
