Floyd C Heath

Floyd Calvin Heath Sr. was born on March 21, 1936 in Memphis, Tennessee, to Thomas Heath Sr. and Annie Margaret Gooden who preceded him in death along with Lavesta Lois Wallace ( wife of 47 years), siblings Charles, Betty, Lawrence, Debra, Michael and recently departed Thomas Isaac Heath.

Floyd graduated from Crain High School. He served in the United States Army in 1953 and was honorably discharged in 1963 – earning the rank of E5 Sergeant USAFI.

After leaving the military, Floyd work as a truck driver. He was later employed with the United States Postal Services.

He is survived by two sons Floyd C Heath Jr. (Tina), Zachery Heath (Debra) one daughter Sylvania (Dollie) Heath-Gaines who preceded him in death, stepdaughter Angelitia Joyner, and stepson Kevin Ellis. He is also survived by siblings Lorraine (Ron), Richard, Faith (Bill), Calvin (Marlene), Robert (Gloria), Isaac (Denise) and sister-in-law Brenda Heath; 14 grandchildren (1) preceded him in death, 26 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
