Eugene Loria Vibar, 72, a resident of the Las Vegas area, passed away peacefully on December 12th, 2018 at the Saint Rose Dominican, Siena Campus after suffering from a Cerebral Bleeding Stroke the day before.
He was born June 10th, 1946 in Daraga, Albay, in the Philippine Islands to Santos and Maria L. Vibar. He found his soul mate and partner for life at the age of 32, when he married Cora of Legazpi City, Albay. At the time, both of them were living in Baguio City, where they decided to settle in and start a family.
Eugene received a Bachelor Degree in Science Education from Bicol University in Legazpi City, Albay. He started his career as a Pharmaceutical Medical Representative for Parke-Davis in the City of Manila, and at Boehringer-lngelheim. As a businessman, he started his Dental Equipment Company providing most dental offices their equipment needs, and always delivered satisfaction guaranteed.
Together with his beloved wife, one boy, and one son, they migrated from the Philippines and resided in Corpus Christi, Texas. As a proud new immigrant, he enjoyed working at Circle-K as an Assistant Manager, and was also a Mental Health Specialist at the Corpus Christi State School for the Texas Department of Mental Health. After living in Texas for a few, the whole family decided to move to California in the year 2000. He had worked for a few suitors and during his tenures, opportunities led to promising career paths. With his friendly demeanor and bright charisma, he landed a position within a family-owned Beef Jerky Corporation called "Bridgford". He was one of their best, and was also awarded the Top Sales Distributor for the West Coast region two years in a row. Eugene retired in 2009 to enjoy the company of his wife, and two children in San Jose, California.
Eugene and his wife Cora decided to move to the City of Las Vegas in 2013. His eldest son, Arne, relocated during 2014, and his youngest son, Vius, finally moved home this 2018. During his retirement, he then decided to be a part-time driver for "Lyft". He always had an average high customer rating of 5-stars from all his rideshare customers.
Eugene loved good food and enjoyed social gatherings with family and friends, a prominent singer of hearts in karaoke, and an old timey movie fan. He passionately watched professional sports especially when it came to his San Francisco Giants and his Golden State Warriors. He always had a wonderful smile that could light up any room. A great man that he was with such heartwarming generosity and an impressive ability to touch people's lives with his sense of humor, he definitely was empathetic and always putting others first before himself.
Eugene is survived by his beloved wife, Cora; his two loving children, Arne Paul and Vius Vincent.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, December 22nd, 2018 at the Palm Eastern Mortuary.
