Eugene L. Kinnee

Eugene (Gene) Leroy Kinnee, 88, a 48-year resident of the Las Vegas Valley, was born to Calvin and Helen Kinnee on October 8, 1934 in Superior, Wisconsin. He passed at home on November 24, 2022 after battling several health issues.

Following education in Superior, Gene joined the Navy and subsequently the Air Force from which he retired in l974. He then worked at Sears as a technician/supervisor, retiring in l994. Gene enjoyed playing golf, poker, traveling, and singing with the Sanctuary Choir of the First Christian Church of Las Vegas, where he was a member.

Gene was a member of the North Las Vegas Elks, Past Master of Acacia Lodge #49 F. & A.M., Scottish Rite, and Zelzah Shriners.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dale and sister-in-law Fern, and sons James and Calvin. He is survived by his wife of 36+ years R. Jane, daughter Dr. Terri L. Kinnee (Micheal Olson), stepson James Poulos (Wendy Cantrell), stepdaughter Stephanie L. Poulos, step-grandchildren Eric Olson, Ashley Olson, Chalan Behan, Lauren and Zachary Poulos, and step-great-grandchildren Parker Gilman, Jack Schafer, Ella and Wesley Behan.

Services will be held at Palm Mortuary, Main Street on December 10, 2022 at 12 Noon, with viewing at 10 am.
