Eugene Hall

Eugene Hall Was born June 30, 1929 in Huntington, West Virginia to Albert and Hortense Hall. Gene enlisted in the Us Navy at the age of 17 and trained as a store keeper. During his Navy Career he served out of San Diego, CA. Bremerton, WA and Yokosuka and Saebo, Japan. He was a Veteran of The Korean and Vietnam wars , he retired from the navy in 1970. In 1971 , he started his career with the U.S. Postal service as a letter carrier. He served with the office in San Diego, CA Klamath Falls, OR and Las Vegas, NV. He retired from the post office in 1992.

During his post retirement years . He worked at a number of part time jobs including armed security, with Universals Security Company, and Greater Las Vegas Auto Auction. He totally retired on his Birthday in 2011. Gene managed to collect up a close group of friends from the Veterans , Post office and auto auction retirement circles. He was known to share coffee or breakfast at Starbucks, on and off Nellis Air force Base, Jack in the box , Denny’s , Ihop and a donut shop or two.

Gene joins his parents, brother William, son Robert and Wife Pat. He is survived by his son David Hall, Daughters Dorothy Kisnonsky (Jim) and Patricia Hackiewicz, and two grandchildren and three great grandchildren . He also had three step children Kathy Evans and Michael and Peter Meyer.

Gene passed away in the care of Nathan Adelson Hospice and in lieu of flowers please send donations to Nathan Adleson Hospice.

A memorial service will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 16, 2023. A reception for Eugene will be held Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Palm Downtown Mortuary, 1325 North Main St, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
