Eugene Joseph Davis

Eugene "Gene" Davis Sr. passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 10:22 pm at the age of 72. He was born on June 28, 1945 to Rosa Mae and Reverend Morris Davis, Sr., in Garyville, LA. He attended Our Lady of Grace Catholic School in Reserve, LA. and Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA. In 1972, he moved to Los Angeles and worked for IBM Foods. He later worked for Hughes Aircraft Company as an Electronics Technician. In 1976, he married Geraldine Spears. They were married 41 years and have one son Eugene Davis, Jr. In 1994, he and his family moved to Las Vegas, NV. He worked as a Cable Technician at Quality Communications. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. No matter what you needed, he was always there for you. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Lawrence Davis, Sr. and Morris Davis, Jr. Eugene is survived by his loving wife and son; stepdaughter, Sandra Hayes; grandchildren, Chanelle and Chrystal Hayes, Cierra, Eugene III, and Cienna Davis; four sisters, Betty Smith, Joyce Brown, Beverly Johnson, and Mary Cobb; brother, Clyde Paul Davis; in-laws, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
