Emily Ann Stevens

2005 – 2014

On Sunday, November 23 our sweet little 9 year-old girl went from the loving arms of her parents, Larry and Karen (Hare) Stevens straight to heaven. Emily was born January 17, 2005 and was a native Las Vegan.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Larry “Shooter” Stevens and grandma, Emily Hare; uncles, Richard Ayersman and Tom Hare.

She is survived by her parents; grandma, Christie Miller (Mike); grandpa, Glenn Hare; aunts, Laurie Hrnciar (Jeff) and Donna Bartlett (Bill); uncle, Tim Hare (Pamela) and many cherished family friends.

Emily loved life! She was a happy and sweet little girl. She was so proud to be a “Greyhound” at Goolsby Elementary School. She was kind to everyone. She loved playing with her friends, reading, ice cream, dogs and never met a stuffed animal she didn’t love. Most of all she loved her family, friends and her puppies Jewel and Scooter.

She endured an uphill battle with a DIPG brain tumor, an especially mean childhood cancer. She fought back for almost a year with a grace and strength that was admirable.

Help her parents celebrate her short but wonderful life at Palm Mortuary 6701 North Jones Blvd. Visitation on Saturday, November 29 between 3:00 – 6:00 or join us Sunday, November 30 at 12:00 noon for a Celebration of Life service. All events will be closed casket.
