She married Richard Goldsworthy in 1958. She started her working career at Bremer’s Dept. Store in Bremerton, WA. Worked at King County Hospital in Seattle, WA and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bellingham, WA. Worked Pacific Telephone & Telegraph in Seattle and Everette, WA. They resided in Everett, WA where Richard managed the Everette Theatre for 5 years. They moved to Thousand Oaks, CA where Richard opened the Fox Conejo Theatre. Elsie worked at Hyatt Chalet Motel in Thousand Oaks, CA. They moved to Las Vegas in 1965 to Open the Fox Theatre in the Charleston Plaza Mall. Elsie worked at the Thunderbird Hotel and then managed the Charleston Plaza Mall for 22 years. She worked at Simply Unique Gift Shop at McCarran Airport, Gold Coast Hotel and Casino, Mail Boxes, Etc., and Boyd Gaming for 17 Years. She retired August 2017.
Elsie and Richard worked with many charities including March of Dimes, Muscular Dystrophy, and American Cancer Society. Elsie was a member of the American Business Women’s Association, winning ABWA Woman of the year in 1971 and resided as President for a period. They were members of St. Annes Catholic Church. She was a member of the Greater Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce, the Executive Board of the Retail Merchants Bureau, the International Council of Shopping Centers, and a Life-Time member of the Las Vegas Parent – Teachers Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband and her sister, Janet Adele Bahler. She is survived by son, Robert Frank Goldsworthy, Grand Daughter-Sabrina Nadine Goldsworthy, Grandson-Brandon Robert Goldsworthy, Great Grand Daughters-Aiyana and Emmalee, Daughter-In-Law-Christine Goldsworthy and Brother-In-Law-Robert Bahler. She will be buried at Forrest Lawn Cemetery in Bremerton, WA with her husband.
