Our bright and beautiful candle has blown out from the winds of tragedy on Thursday November 22, 2018. Gabrielle Anastacia Nichols, affectionately known as Elle by those who knew and loved her was born on the first day of Spring, March 20, 1994 in Charleston, South Carolina. She spent most of her early years living in sunny San Diego, California developing a deep love for the ocean, and the warm rays of sun on the sand before her family relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada where she spent her formative years excelling in academic pursuits, and a mastery of the violin from attendance at the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts. She attended the Las Vegas Academy and Arbor View High School before transferring to Alhambra Valley High School in the San Francisco Bay Area to graduate in 2012. The intrigue and allure of arguing as a profession enticed Elle to pursue a career as an attorney, and she was working to complete her undergraduate degree from UNLV as part of this goal. Elle was a proud sister of the Zeta Tau Alpha fraternity, and an active member of the Las Vegas area Mormon Church.
In addition to her ferrets – Marilyn, Bucky and Clyde, the king of the house – Tut, and fur sisters – Isabelle & Lola along with other half – Jordyn, she is survived by her loving Mom & friend, Michele Nichols of Las Vegas, NV, Father – Todd Nichols of Monticello, FL (Sandra Nichols), Grandmother – Elsie Malloy (Clyde Malloy), Grandfather – Jim Lickliter, Great Grandmother – Alice Kimmel, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Zetas & Friends. She is preceded by Great Grandma – Evelyn of whom she inherited her amazing sense of style and will be hugging for the first time in Heaven, her Nana – Bev and Uncle – Chris (who is hopefully waiting for her with a fountain drink).
Elle idolized Norma Jean, couldn’t get enough of all things Potter and had a passion for body art expression. She was a dancing queen, a cinephile, a fashionista, a debater, a fun-maker, and an amazing friend to all who knew her. Early on, Elle faced health challenges which would cripple the spirits of most who suffered from them, but Elle would push through the pain to chase a glimmer of thrilling fun. She loved roller coasters, staying up late, sleeping in, Sonic slushies and pushing herself to the limits to escape the pain that she endured on a daily basis. She was captivated by different cultures and had the occasion to visit Australia & Peru with sights set on Europe in the future. She was a rare combination of both blinding physical beauty with a piercing, intellectual mind. She could have been…would have been…unstoppable, if only for the winds......
