Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Mulhern, 92, was a 55 year resident of Las Vegas, passing away suddenly, August 24, 2017. Betty, as she was known by most, was very independent and will be missed by all who knew her. Born in Folsom, New Mexico on April 23, 1925 to Allcutt and Anna McNaghten. She married Jim Mulhern in 1945, who preceded her in death in 1980. She was also predeceased by their beloved son, Jim Jr., and her siblings, her sister Therese Mitchell, brothers Frank, Sam and Thomas McNaghten and son-in-law Jon Gisler. Betty is survived by sons, Michael (Jude) Thomas (Kathy) and Donald (Clody) Mulhern, and daughter Patricia Gisler, as well as 8 grand-children and 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would also like to thank, Jared Morasco, for all of his work with her in keeping her independence to the end. She lives on in all of our hearts! Early on she followed in her Father’s footsteps at 18 as a station agent for the railroad. She always spoke fondly pf her years with the railroad and collected trains as a hobby. Later she went into the civil service at Kirkland AFB and many years in finance at Nellis AFB. A Celebration of Life will be, November 25, 2017, at the home of Don and Clody Mulhern.
